All dogs can potentially have health problems not just purebreds.
Some can be Breed Specific while others can be general health issues that effect any Breed or cross bred dog.
ASHBOLT is passionate about breeding happy, healthy, confident puppies that conform to the Breed Standard.
A sound temperament is essential whether they are for Work, Show or as family companions.
Although no health testing is required for Weimaraners in Australia, all of my dogs are Hip Scored and DNA Tested.
* Unfortunately not all diseases can be tested for, however it makes sence that only those with good results are used to contribute in breeding programs.
Please note that no amount of scientific screening of breeding stock for hereditory defects can ever guarentee that puppies will be 100% free of these problems.
However breeding from generations of sound, health tested parents certainly increases the probability that the puppies will be
sound and healthy.
