When you have decided that a beagle is the right dog for your family, there are a few important points to consider:
- Finding a reputable breeder is very important. Dogs NSW has some great information to assist you in finding a registered breeder and avoiding puppy scammers, which can be found in this guide. Choosing a breeder (dogsnsw.org.au)
- You may need to be patient as beagle puppies are VERY popular. You can use the time to check out local puppy schools, find a vet and check that your yard is beagle-proof. Start training the family to make sure that gates and doors are closed as they leave.
If you are not looking for a puppy, older beagles may be available from reputable breeders or Beagle Rescue NSW.
