Pointers have a kind nature and make wonderful life long family members but, being an energetic breed, are best suited to an active family lifestyle.  They need regular exercise and, when well trained, given the opportunity of free running several times a week.  They do not thrive being left alone in the backyard. Their short coats are easy to maintain and keep clean.  However, they are a breed that needs sensitive, patient  and consistent handling and, like all dogs, benefit from basic obedience training but do make it fun!

If you think you can provide the sort of family in which an Aspenlea puppy would thrive, please contact us.

**********

Our puppies are raised in a lively home environment and are exposed to Early Stimulation Neurological (ENS) exercises in the first few weeks of their lives to build  confidence and reslience, particularly to stress.  Ref: Early Neurological Stimulation | Breeding Better Dogs

Before leaving for their new homes they will be:

- well socialised, used to frequent handling, different environments, household noises, cars, crates and other experiences to ensure friendly, outgoing natures

- some basic obedience training

-  vaccinated, up to date with worm and parasite control

- vet checked

-  microchipped and registered with  the ANKC (DogsACT)

-  come with a puppy pack and familiar blanket

- life long support and advice for their new families

Pointers are addictive, so you may end up with more than one!
