Porthcurno In For A Penny at Aspenlea (imp NZ)

After a long search, because of her predominantly UK lines (which I have always loved), I imported Penny from Alan & Lyn Dunscombe of long established Porthcurno Pointers, NZ to be part of our family. Her pedigree has many illustrious pointer lines, both field and show, including many descended from Crookrise.
Her UK sire is Bob (Eng Sh Ch Fowington Five Bob Note JW). Bred by Peter & Geraldine O’Driscoll of renowned Fowington Pointers, Kelso, he was the BOB Crufts winner from an entry of 289 pointers in 2011. Peter is a noted field trialist and trainer and Geraldine shows and judges. Note: Bob is a full Ch (not just a Sh Ch) as he unusually he also has a Show Gundog Working Certificate which indicates that he has retained his working ability with prestigious recognition in the UK Kennel Club Stud Book.
Her NZ dam is the pretty Cara, Porthcurno Carrera of Castlepoint, whose pedigree also includes many UK show and field lines – again many linked to Crookrise.
Penny has definitely inherited Bob’s nose, drive and working ability! Apart from being a fabulous companion who loves children, her tail never stops wagging. She is classically elegant with floating movement, is energetic and intelligent and has shown her versatility by training for Obedience, Rally, Nosework and Tricks.
