 Club Mission Statement/Objectives

a) To encourage and promote the correct type in the breeding of Miniature Schnauzers, Schnauzers and Giant Schnauzers in conformity with the standard of the breed as set forth by the Club and approved by the Australian National Kennel Council;

b) To encourage and promote the exhibition, in conformation, performance and obedience, of pure-bred Miniature Schnauzers; Schnauzers and Giant Schnauzers,

c) To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed;

d) To conduct Specialty Shows under the rules of the Royal New south Wales Canine Council;

e) To educate the public with regard to breeding, proper care, and maintenance of Miniature Schnauzers; Schnauzers and Giant Schnauzers,

(f) To support and encourage research activities designed to improve the health and welfare of Miniature Schnauzers, Schnauzers and Giant Schnauzers.

Club Meetings

Members & Visitors are all welcome to attend the Club's General Meetings conducted every alternate month commencing from February each year i.e. Feb \ April \ June \ August \ Oct & Dec. 

They are held at 7:30pm on the first Wednesday of each month.  Meetings are now held via Zoom. All members will be emailed the log-in details prior to the meeting. 

The Annual General Meeting is conducted at the Club's August Meeting which is held in person.

If any meeting is to be held at a venue, members will be notified of the details. If this is to occur, members will be notified.

VOTING

The Constitution provides for the following methods of voting:
In Person

At the Annual General Meeting to be held:

On:                  Wednesday, 7 August 2024
At:                    George Bell Pavilion, Castle Hill Showground, Castle Hill
Time:               7.30 pm

By Post

Any member wanting to submit a postal vote MUST APPLY for a ballot paper at least 21 days prior to the Annual General Meeting. That means, your application for a postal vote MUST BE RECEIVED by the Club’s Secretary no later than 17 July 2024. Application for postal vote is here.

An application for a postal vote must be submitted as follows:

·       Send stamped self-addressed envelope to the Secretary.

·       Member voting must endorse his/her name on the inside flap of the envelope, properly sealed.

Send your stamped addressed envelope to The Secretary, 70 Otago Street Vineyard NSW 2765, for return post of the ballot paper.

Ballot Papers

Ballot papers must be received by the Club Secretary no later than 5.00 pm on 7 August 2024, (which will be the time of closing of the Postal Ballot) the day appointed for the holding of the Annual General Meeting.

ELIGIBILITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ELECTION

Only financial members of the Club (ie. Fully paid renewal fees by 30 June 2024, for the year 2024/2025 and Life Members) are eligible to:

·       Nominate a candidate,

·       Stand for Office,

·       Vote in the Election.

NOMINATIONS

Nominations for committee positions must be in writing, signed by the nominee and nominator. Nomination form is here.

A financial member may nominate candidates for any or all positions vacant. Closing date for receipt of nominations is Wednesday 17 July 2024.

In Accordance with rule 43, any position not nominated for, or any vacancy occurring as a result of members nominated declaring at the Annual General Meeting unwillingness to stand for the position, the members may propose and second orally, sufficient members to fill any such office.
