Welcome to Shelpin Cocker Spaniels

Shelpin Cocker Spaniels is a home based kennels located on the northside of Brisbane, QLD. We breed our litters when we are looking to add to our show team so litters aren't readily available.

After having loved and treasures the cocker spaniel breed for many years we decided to venture into the world of confirmation showing. Over the years our dogs have continued to hold their own in the show ring and we are proud to have a number of  Multi Best In Show winners and Multi Best In Group winners. In 2024 we took a team down to the Cocker Spaniel Nationals held in New South Wales where we proudly celebrated our boy Nitro - NEUT CH. AUST CH SHELPIN AIM FOR THE STARS who was awarded Best Neuter In Show, a very proud moment for us.

We pride ourselves on breeding quality cocker spaniels with sound temperments, intelligence, conformation and soundness to the breed standard. Our puppies are raised in a loving family enviroment with loads of cuddles, toys to stimualate their minds and encourage play but most importantly we work on socialing and desenitising our puppies so they get the best start to settling into their new loving homes. 

At Shelpin Cocker Spaniels we put a particular emphasis on the importance of health testing. All required health tests are completed through Orivet and we also test for AON (Adult Onset Nneuropathy) using approved oversea tests. This level of testing gives us and our puppy families peace of mind knowing their newest addition is healthy and cleared of genitic issues.

We are thrilled to announce that a number of Shelpin Cocker Spaniel pets are successully competing in dog sports such as; Sprint Dog, Scent Work and Dog Surfing achieving their qualitfications and titles. We love that the dogs we breed are versitle and have a love for dog sports too.
