The Tenterfield Terrier is a highly intellegent, healthy and agile breed, well suited to many disciplines.
They thrive on affection, challenges and training.
Along with Specialty Shows where Tenties are judged for type, conformation, movement and temperament, they commonly compete in organised activities such as Agility, Obedience, Fly Ball, Sprint Dog, Lure Coursing, Scent Work, Earth Dogs & Dances With Dogs.
Due to their intelligence, Tenties are also trained as Assistance Dogs and Lions Hearing Dogs.
