Genetic testing for health disorders is largely misunderstood by the general public. Genetic breed profile testing is limited to the tests available, what this means in the bigger picture is that although a dog has had a genetic profile done and has been cleared of inheritable issues, other issues may still arise due to the simple fact that no test has yet been developed for that particular issue, in conclusion, it is impossible to say that your dogs are clear of all genetic disorders.
I don't therefore offer a health guarantee with my dogs as I believe that it is an impossible statement to uphold. I have done everything I can to produce sound and healthy miniature schnauzers.
My breeding dogs have all had a genetic breed profile done and cleared of inheritable diseases, that is, cleared of what can currently be tested for.
