Swedish Valhunds are fun-loving, intelligent, hardy dogs who love their humans and other dogs. They have been used as cattle herding dogs for hundreds of years by Swedish farmers and the breed is believed to date back to Viking times. Genetically they belong to the Spitz group of dogs and have a double coat which keeps them warm in winter and cool in summer. They are active and love to be involved in whatever you are doing.
