Welcome to the home of Uwish Tibetan Spaniels.

The journey to arrive at where we now are has been supported by some of Australia's top breeders starting with my father Damian Bourne. Vanessa and myself only got into showing and then breeding because of the work Dad had done building Tornadobe Doberman's into one of Australia's most well known and respected kennels. It started because Dad let Vanessa show a boy called WRX (Rex) one day at a show, and she was hooked. From that point way back in 2002, we started our own journey in the dogworld.

Through Dad's Tornadobe breeding, Vanessa showed Doberman's and GSP's, and then added a couple more GSP's this time from the brilliant Kobidan Kennels. Our final addition back then was "Spinner" a Brittany from Tendayi who we bought in as a child handler dog for our daugther Hayley. For many reasons we decided not to breed a litter of Doberman's, but we did breed one litter of GSP's, and bred Brittany's for nearly 10 years, even importing two dogs from America and under our own Uwish prefix, we produced many nice dogs who all titled easily in the showring.

Then in 2013, Vanessa got the chance to show a bouncy Tibetan Spaniel called Mimi known at the time as Grasshopper, and it changed everything for us pretty quickly. Vanessa and Mimi formed a bond immediately and it was to our incredible fortune that Mimi's breeder Pamela Stendara from Telavier allowed us to keep her. Mimi is our foundation in Tibbie's and you would be hard pressed to find a better foundation bitch. Mimi is a Multiple Specialty Best in Show Winner, Runnier Up in Show Winner (All Breeds), Multiple Best in Group Winner including a Best in Group 1 Winner at the 2017 Royal Canberra Royal Show - (She is the only Tibetan Spaniel in Australia with this title). Because Mimi is so special, we imported a very special boy for her all the way from Sweden in "Fridolf" and their progeny are the reason we are now Uwish Tibetan Spaniels.

We will breed only sparingly and always in an attemp to improve the breed from a confirmation perspective, and always to breed Healthy sound Tibetan Spaniels with outstanding temperaments. Our dogs are very much a part of our family and any home our puppies go to must be the same.
