WHY THE BRITTANY? 
There are many wonderful dog breeds in this world, but every now and then, a dog comes along that feels like it was made just for you. For me, that dog was the Brittany.
The Brittany is not simply a gundog, a show dog, or a companion, though they excel at all three.
They are something rarer, something deeper.
They have a heart so open, so generous, and so full of life that once you’ve loved a Brittany, you are never quite the same again.
A Brittany doesn’t just live in your home.
They live in your laughter, your routines, your quiet moments, and your memories.
They are the dog who watches you with bright, intelligent eyes that seem to understand far more than you say.
The dog who greets every day, and every person, with joy.
The dog who works with determination, plays with abandon, and loves with their whole being.
What makes the Brittany truly special is their spirit.
It’s a blend of gentleness and fire, softness and grit, devotion and independence.
They are sensitive enough to read your mood, yet bold enough to take on the world at full speed.
They are the dog who curls up beside you at night and the dog who bursts into the field each morning as if the world is brand new.
They are the dog who tries, always, to give you, their best.
After decades of living, working, showing, training, and loving Brittanys, I have seen them shine in the ring, triumph in the field, and melt into the arms of the families who adore them.
I have watched puppies grow into champions, into hunters, into therapy dogs, into best friends.
But titles and ribbons are not the reason I love this breed.
I love the Brittany because they love us, fiercely, honestly, and without hesitation.
They are the dog who stays by your side through heartbreak and celebration.
The dog who makes you laugh when you didn’t think you could. The dog who reminds you, every single day, what joy looks like.
The Brittany is not just a breed.
They are a gift.
And that is why, after all these years, my heart still belongs to them, and always will.
