Appoved Pointscore Competition Rules 2017 / 2018

WDBC OF NSW  POINTSCORE COMPETITION RULES Ratified at General Meeting  November 2016 To ensure this prestigious competition continues to reward outstanding performance in the conformation show ring, WDBC has now combined the Dog and Bitch into a single competition    It is open to financial members of the Western Districts Boxer Club of NSW.  All owners of an exhibit must be financial member/s of the Club competing at the pointscore show to be eligible to score. Awards – 2 Major Awards & 2 Opposite Sex Awards           Top Boxer of the Year                             Opposite Sex Top Boxer of the Year            Rising Star Boxer of the Year               Opposite Sex Rising Star Boxer of the Year A trophy will be presented to the Top Boxer & Top Opposite Sex A trophy will be presented to the Top Rising Star & Top Opposite Sex Top 10 in Boxer of the Year Pointscore will be presented with a tri-colour sash Top 10 in Rising Star Pointscore will be presented with a tri-colour sash

 

2       Competition Format

  This competition will run on a points system over the Financial year. The selected Pointscore shows will be confirmed at a WDBC general meeting prior to the entry closing date of the first show for the competition. The Western Districts Boxer Club of NSW Pointscore Competitions will be won by the Boxer dog or bitch with the most points scored at the selected shows

•   In the event of a tie, then a count back of awards at the designated point score shows will decide the winner, starting with the most number of BOB then RUBOB, CC, RCC, 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd.

 

    3   Top Boxer of the Year & Opposite Sex Top Boxer of the Year

Eligible classes will be :-  Junior, Intermediate, Limit, State Bred, Australian Bred & Open.

Top Boxer of the Year will be won by the Boxer Dog or Boxer Bitch with the highest number of points

Top Opposite sex Boxer  will be won by the Boxer Dog or Bitch of the opposite sex with the highest number of points

  Points will be awarded  at Point Score allocated shows as follows: (If less than 3 in a class, points will not be reduced)

•   1st place                        3 points
•    2nd place                      2 points
•    3rd place                      1 point
•    Challenge                     6 points
•    Reserve Challenge       3 points

 

Rising Star Boxer of the Year & Opposite Sex Rising Star Boxer of the Year

Eligible classes will be:  Baby Puppy, Minor Puppy, & Puppy.

Rising Star Boxer of the Year will be won by the Puppy Dog or Puppy Bitch with the highest number of points & Opposite Sex Rising Star Boxer of the Year will be won by the opposite sex Puppy Dog or Puppy Bitch with the highest number of points

Points will be awarded as follows: (If less than 3 in a class, points will not be reduced)

•  1st place                       3 points
•  2nd place                      2 points
•  3rd place                       1 point
•  Challenge                      6 points
•  Reserve Challenge      3 points

 

 Double Points will be awarded for all points gained at the WDBC Specialty Championship Shows
